The Andes

The Andes

The Andes is a unique place where you can learn about the Andean cultures of the Salasacas, Otavalos, Saraguros, amongst others; all of who live alongside the snowy Ecuadorian mountains and their active volcanoes.

The Andes are known internationally as the symbol of South America. Their culture, history, landscapes, indigenous groups and nature help make Ecuador a true tourist destination.

From Cuenca to Quito, there is a tourist corridor called AVENUE OF THE VOLCANOES, which offers the opportunity to learn about indigenous markets, snowy mountain peaks and the most amazing volcanoes of Ecuador.  There is also the train that offers several excursions to different areas in the Andes.
